Preview: RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich – Prediction, Team News, Line-ups

Bayern Munich return to Bundesliga action on Saturday as they take on RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena.

Vincent Kompany’s side currently sit 11 points clear at the top of the league table, while their opponents are third with 32 points following their 2-0 triumph over SC Freiburg in their previous outing.

Match Preview

Leipzig headed to Wednesday’s fixture after back-to-back losses to Union Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen.

But Ole Werner’s men bounced back with a comfortable win against Freiburg in front of their home crowd.

They dominated proceedings at the Red Bull Arena and scored twice early in the second-half through Willi Orban and Romulo Cardoso.

On the other hand, Bayern outclassed FC Koln 3-1 to claim their third successive victory and 15th of the league season.

Linton Maina broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, before Serge Gnabry levelled the scores on the stroke of half-time.

Kim Min-jae added another midway through the second-half before Lennart Karl put the game to bed with a late third.

Though the Bavarians have been vulnerable at the back, their attack has been relentless, netting 15 goals in their previous three Bundesliga matches.

Team News

Bayern are also dealing with several fitness issues this weekend. Jamal Musiala hasn’t recovered from a leg injury, while Alphonso Davies and Josip Stanisic are also confined to the infirmary.
