Borussia Dortmund want a whopping £129 million to let their star midfielder Jude Bellingham leave, according to The Times.
The talented youngster has been earning rave reviews in Germany since he joined the Bundesliga outfit in 2020.
Despite being only 19, he has made over 100 senior appearances at the Signal Iduna Park.
Some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid have been linked with a potential move for the teenager.
However, any of these clubs will likely have to spend an extraordinary amount to secure the services of Bellingham.
The Times in their latest Bundesliga transfer news are claiming Dortmund want £129m to let the wonderkid leave the club.
The midfielder’s current contract at the German outfit will expire in the summer of 2025.
One of the best midfielders
Bellingham is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in Europe. He has already achieved so much at such a young age.
The 19-year-old has already established himself as a key member of Dortmund’s first team. Since his arrival at the Signal Iduna Park, he has clocked up 112 appearances across all competitions, with 19 goals to his name.
He is currently playing for England at the 2022 World Cup, where his performances are earning him great praise from fans and pundits alike.
Bellingham has started all three matches for Gareth Southgate’s team so far and has also managed to score a goal.
Considering his enormous potential, any transfer fee looks justified to secure his services. However, it looks unlikely that any European club would be willing to fork out £129m fee even if he is such an excellent midfielder.
