Bayern Munich close to signing PSV star Ismael Saibari

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is currently the centre of everyone’s attention, with all the brightest talents of world football in North America to showcase their skills.

However, the summer transfer window has officially opened and is also generating interest among football enthusiasts.

Bayern Munich continued their domestic dominance in 2025-26, winning all three trophies including the Bundesliga title.

They also made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League before narrowly losing to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.

Aiming to maintain their dominance next season, Bayern have moved early in the transfer market.

Noel Aseko has already returned to the Allianz Arena following 18 months with Hannover, and now the Bundesliga giants are on the verge of completing a blockbuster move for Ismael Saibari.

According to The Athletic, the Bavarians have reached an agreement in principle with PSV over a deal for Saibari.

The 25-year-old is currently in the United States as part of Morocco’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

He scored in the Atlas Lions’ 1-1 draw with Brazil last weekend and is expected to lead their attack against Scotland on Friday.

Saibari has been earning rave reviews with his performances in France since joining PSV in 2020.

He has scored 42 goals and provided 29 assists in 142 appearances across all competitions, helping his side win three Eredivisie titles.

Saibari mainly plays as an attacking midfielder but is also capable of operating across several attacking positions.

He is comfortable operating on either wing, behind the striker or even as a centre-forward.
